this question came up over the weekend. i propose that the recent debacle that was the last handsome boy album doesn't taint the prospects for the next Gorillaz album because i already expect it to be utter garbage. am i alone in this?

i've got hopes for it, if only because the Gorillaz project is supposed to be fun, cheesy & poppy. As long as Linkin Park doesn't fuck it all up I think thye can pull it off. Seriously ocunting on Danger Mouse on this one, though. How much you wanna bet he gets DOOM to appear on it?

I loved the first Gorillaz album. Damon Albarn has the golden touch.

Fader Magazine said they have a copy of the album and said that DOOM is on a track that is incredible or something.

Weird it hasn't leaked elsewhere yet.

the new single is streaming over here
I hated it for the first 45 seconds or so, but by the end of the track i'm really startin to feel it. Which isn't to say i won't be sick of it after 5 listens, but so far so good.

I don't like it as much as "Dirty Harry", but it's pretty interesting nonetheless. I also love the fact that hey've got a track called "Bill Murray" on the album, too.

this album sucks. i listened to it today and can't believe i made it almost all the way through, i guess i was hoping for it to get better. even doom can't save the one song he's on. the single is alright though and the track with dennis hopper is oddly compelling.
