Where do I start? From the beginning? 'Cause I heard some samples of early stuff and it still sounds good today. I actually was'nt too impressed with A&E after sampling the back catalog, but that's just a one off impression. Any recoms to get started?

I really like A & E, actually. You might want to give it another chance. Also, catch them live if you can. They're still on tour, I believe.

I will take in all advice.

Postmersh, I sorta figured I was on my way to Spaceman 3 after reading all the criticisms I had dug up.

Thanks all.

Are you into trancy, psychedelic Spiritualized? Or are you like me, and more into their orchestral pop stuff?

This guy knows his stuff.

Then move on to "Playing with Fire" by Spacemen 3 and follow the chronological release pattern
Spritiulized - Lazer Guided Melodies
Spiritualized - Pure Phase <--- good, but not wholly essential
Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We're Floating in Space
Spiritualized - Live at Royal Albert Hall

Then, honsetly... you can stop.

I have "let it come down" and although this is one of the greatest styled packages for a cd, I always was bored by this record.

I see. I was a little bit shocked when you mentioned my avatar. so, but it's still sad that the only album from the spiritualized I own, sucks. at the beginning of this evening I thought about the possibility of giving it another spin, but now it's almost midnight and I listen to neil young.
or is it cool through headfones?

I've never listened to it through headphones, but J Spacemen puts a lot of work into his mixes, so it could be worth a try.
