not a huge fan of the original album, but excited about the b-sides and BBC sessions.

I love the original album but find these expanded edition Pavement albums to be bordering on overkill for the most part.

really?

damn, i feel like pavement has had some of the better reissues around. most of their b-sides are easily as good as their album tracks, so i'm glad to have 'em all in one place.

Probably speaks more for their lack of quality control on the albums than anything else. Take Brighten The Corners as a case in point.

Not my favorite Pavement album but still better than TT. And I'll probably buy this anyway.

I'm game. I really like these reissues despite re-buying the album.

My wife and I break out into:
"It's everybody's god. It's everybody's god...."
for no apparent reason every now and then.

Honestly, I think that until Terror Twilight, there was no Pavement album that was less than excellent. I loved those guys. And now, with the reissues, I'm loving 'em all over again.

While they may be overkill...at least you're getting your getting your money's worth if you're a fan...They are fairly priced and they sound great.

what i don't understand is why they go to all the trouble of reissuing these albums with goodies, but not reissue them on vinyl. bah!

I thought the Wowee Zowee reissue was bloated and tiring, but maybe that's just because Wowee Zowee itself is bloated and tiring. Tough to admit since it used to be my favorite Pavement album. The reissue effectively killed it for me.

The bonus stuff here looks a little more worthwhile even if I already have a bunch of those tracks. As was mentioned earlier, these are pretty reasonably priced so I'll probably end up picking it up.

Man, I'm behind. I'm listening to the S+E reissue for the first time in years and now plan to pick up the CR, CR reissue soon. I'm not even sure I knew there was one for WZ and here they announce BTC.

I can see a lot of reissues getting bloated over the next few years, as bands are doing a better job of cataloguing unreleased material these days, and digital is easier to store.

Additionally, as long as cds remain the preferred medium, the industry is going to look for ways to sell the same product multiple times over to maximize profits.

As for this, I like Pavement but I think 2 discs is a bit much to take in at once. If it's under $20 I still might be interested.

they've been pretty cheap, i think i got SE for $14

and i usually listen to just the album, or just the bonus material.

i like these re-issues but they are also frustrating because pavement was my favorite band when i was in college so i acquired a lot of the stuff that ends up as bonus material. i then end up with having to decide if the few extra tracks are worth re-buying all the rest.
