almost started a thread about the Bears courting Kurt Warner...but he signed with the Cards. It made me question why they would court a veteran QB when according to y'all-----Rex is the man?

Glad they are shoring up the team though Spadesy......

b/c the Falcons have signed a new kicker and punter so far and I am fucking elated. :wanker:

Well, they signed Fiedler because they didn't want into the exact problem they had last year....Rex goes down, no backup. If they draft a running back first and a true #2 wideout second, they will (amazingly, I might add) have addressed every major offseason hole in their roster.

Meanwhile the 'Boys have gotten better at starting QB (the Parcells-Bledsoe reunification), the top starting guard on the FA market (Rivera), a starting DT/NT in Jason Ferguson, and Anthony Henry to man the formerly-nonexistent CB position opposite Terrence Newman....

Go ahead, chat up your OT, and the overpaying of Mushin if you must, but you guys aren't the big FA winners you're trying to equate yourself to...

Cool. Save me the trouble of 3 or 27 clicks-----how are the Bears Cap-Wise?

I mean some people in ATL are complaining that we havent really made a splash in Free Agency but the truth is---we've locked up Vick,Brooking, Kearney and most of the core so while--yeah it would be gret to go get Plaxico or another first rate LB, we are going to have to rely on the draft and Dr. Rich McKays ability to find us some cheap talent to hit the next level.

you really want them to draft a RB before a WR?

they might be able to get a really good RB in the first round but the #2 receiver they get in the second won't be much of a drop off from the one they's get in the first if they plan on using moose as their primary guy anyway.

upon further consideration.....i should be clowning your punk ass for suggesting that the Bears draft a RB early----rember you were the one telling me that they had two(2) legit first rate backs, right? 8)

Sucks being a fan dont it?

Seriously i would (and i think lovie will too) either trade down or pick solid because y'all need more IMPACT MAKERS (to coin a bad phrase) on Defense.

Seriously.

I don't know about the super bowl but the addition of Miller will definitely help protect Grossman next year. I wonder how much room The Bears have under cap at this point. My guess is that they are still in good shape right now.

Why are people saying the Bears should draft an RB??? Next year Lovie is going to run, run, run with Thomas Jones. Personally, I think they could use better WR's or upgrade their safety's...

A-Train + Terry Shea + Thomas Jones = A-Train squeezed out because they don't need a power back.

Then they fire Shea and A-Train files. Now they need a power back again.

I'll find out how much room the Bears have under the cap after I talk to my guy in scouting :)

If given a chance and a well-coached o-line, Adrian Peterson will be effective.

Bears must draft Edwards or Williams at #4... the defense is fine.

And I like Fiedler way better than Warner... he's a backup that can come in and move the chains.

Quit your pansy ass bitching. You had how many 10 win seasons in a row? and now you're going to act like a victim because your running back left you to go smoke weed and your team tanked? Suck it up.

good point mark clark; we should all be so unlucky as to be dolphins fans....boo hoo.

yo, is it better to be a fan of a consistently good team that only hits the championship mark occasionally (Braves, Dolphins, etc) or a band of a loveable losers lie the Cubs or Sox fan who MIGHT win it all finally.......?

or a front runner Yankees fan?
or a Bears fan who realises they sorry?

this is true...dolphins fans are spoiled.
i guess i can rest well knowing that our cellar-dwelling will be short-lived, while bears fans get let down season after season after season after season after season (how many more 'til i get to 1985?)

How many since 1974? If you're going to try to insult a team, try not to be a dumbass about it.
