Doves - I like it, but this record did'nt grab me like The Last Broadcast did.

Queens of the Stone Age - I love Queens, but this record is total shit. A major disappointment.

Kasibian - Was not very impressed. Sounds like Stone Roses gone eletronic.

Kasier Chiefs - I thought this record was pretty decent. Nothing really new, but got the job done.

Bloc Party - For all they hype that this band gets, I actually reallyl enjoyed this record. Once again, nothing new here, but I was still impressed.

Prefuse 73 - Very nice

Spiritaulized (Pure Phase) - I have been meaing to buy this record for so long and finally decided to do so. One of my favorite records from them. Medication is probably one of my all time favorite tracks from Spiritualized.

My friend made me a copy of it for me.
He told me that he stopped listening to it halfway it sucked so bad.
I did'nt believe him and listened for myself.

I'm serious, it is no good.

There is one decent track at best.
It's on of thoes records when each track never gets off the ground.

I listened to it twice, just to get a second opinion.

I'm sure I will give it another try.

i love the single ' Little Sister'.... is that the only decent track?

'Go With the Flow' was tops.

I'm interested in all of these. Heard the Bloc Party, and I really like it, although the hype is a bit distracting.

What's the Kaiser Chiefs like? The single's pretty good. Definitely nothing new. Is the rest of the album like this?

Also can't wait for Prefuse, although I wish it were an instrumental album. I hope the guest spots don't detract too much. One Word Extinguisher kicked ass.

I'm not sure.
I do not know the track listing.

Songs For The Deaf is great.
Just about every track on it is solid.

Iron & Wine - Woman King EP: Fucking awesome. I think I like better than his 2004 full length, but it still has that first wave of newness so it's hard to tell. Way more densely layered than anything he did before.

Andrew Bird-Mysterious Production of Eggs: Fucking awesome. I didn't own any of his previous work, but, my God, I think I will now.

Stars-Nightsongs: Pretty good. I'd say 2/3's of the album is solid.

Acher Prewitt-Wilderness: I can't seem to get past O, KY...which is a pretty great tune.

Brian Eno-Apollo Atmospheres & Soundtracks: This album has been rocking me gently to sleep each night. Very warm and very spacey.

The Clean - Anthology: Fucking Awesome. Well, the first disc is butta. Garage rock, punk, post punk, and power pop all rapped up in this... this anthology of The Clean. Phat hooks galore...every song on the first disc is a keeper. Within the confines of the first disc you will find the very hard to find boodle boodle boodle ep which is arguably the best album ever released by a New Zealand band. The second disc mostly contains their newer material which isn't nearly as interesting as there early 80's stuff.

Awesome man, 'Tally Ho' and 'Beatnik' still get regular rotation on the college radio station here. Are you a fan of The Chills aswell?

On the money. I don't see how a QOTSA fan could hate this, i don't think its stylistically that dissimilar anyway, despite the loss of Oliveri. 'Medication' will be the next single, i'd hazard to guess.

Well it's a bit softer than the other releases on the whole, but yeah, not a huge difference.

thanx for the word on qotsa. that's kinda what i thought. "little sister" was the first lead single that didn't do much for me. since the rest of the album probably won't either, i'll spend my $ on andrew bird instead.
