"Going Arbuckle" should be added to the lexicon.

I guess it just was.

Yeah good stuff. They've been floating around on the blues circuit on blogs/mags/etc for a little while. Glad to see someone else dig em. I heard Floyd's Market a year or so ago and it blew me away on their potential.

I was reading a profile on them in Blues Revue and Dustin Arbuckle said he had a previous band when he was a teen that he was the lead singer. He picked up the harp only because he felt the lead singer should be doing something else during instro breaks. He fell in love, and the rest leads up to 1861. Definitely one of the top young talents within the blues realm.

I didn't listen to this too closely but it sounded a lot like the North Mississippi All-Stars to me.

Saw these fellas maybe 2 weeks ago or somethin' like that. I've never heard the records, but they sounded great to me after the 9 or so beers I had before getting there. Kinda another band influenced by that whole RL Burnside faction.

similar but better. i would say wheras NMAS are sort of like jam-band electric blues stuff (still accomplished players just dont really put together good albums) this moreland and arbuckle is pretty rooted in classic electric blues
