Inedible.

This and Nutella should be rounded up and dumped into the Mariana Trench.

I say "Very edible". Eating a bagel graced with marmite right now and it's pure bliss.

There has to be some more obners here with thick british blood that share my passion for this beautiful product.

have either of you ever tried it?

basically all it does is enhance the flavours of the bread and butter. Makes toast taste like the STARS!!!

I do admit that my old roommate is the only person i have come across (other than members of my family) to agree to try some of my marmite toast and end up loving it. Everyone else has absolutely despised it, but this dude ended up buying his own jar the next day and still eats it to this day.

Hell, I had to look it up in the dictionary. The description doesn't sound appetizing.

Nutella, on the other hand, not too shabby.

marmite on toast is the greatest breakfast known to man. I eat it for like 70% of my breakfsts

inexperienced people tend to put way too much on, furthering their dislike

How does Nutella even equate to this spread? I'm not judging since I have never had it, but:

a chocalatey hazelnut spread = brew's yeasty extract

"computer says noooo"

My imagination suggests to me that Marmite is a bit like a beef boullion cube made to a paste for slathering.

derris, apparently.

Nutella made in Europe is way better than the stuff made in North America.

i prefer vegemite. give me fresh baked bread, sharp cheddar cheese, butter, and vegemite, and i will cure any hangover that alcohol can produce.

this is exactly the reason I think 99% of people who try it, don't like it. it's a subtle flavor that needs to be spread very thin.
