I have a rough mix of another new HoP song up for streaming for the next few days:

"Tortured Artist"

Yeah, there'll be tweaks/additions to the arrangement. I'll probably re-do some vocals, and certainly will EQ some of the stuff a bit differently.

But I'm curious to know your reactions to what I have there to start. I'd love to hear what you think.
Yeah, this was what I did this weekend.

Thanks.

nah but seriously Todd, much better than I expected

maybe redo that cheesy echo vocal part near the beginning and get a better high-hat sound/tone

hmmm, kind reminds me of the new pornographers, in that it takes a long time for the melody to cycle through.

I haven't listened to a lot of your stuff but have always enjoyed what I have heard. This is no exception. I'm kind of with Bort though. I love the song after the one minute mark, it just feels like it takes a little too long to get there.

A heads-up... the song is coming down tomorrow morning. Thanks to everyone who's listened (and commented) so far. I'll re-post it in the springtime when it's all done!
