Neat.

That was fucking atrocious.

It wasn't omigodgetthatonmyipodnow, but (to no one's surprise) I don't think it was atrocious. Hence, neat.

But I'm easy to please. Simple mind and whatnot.

I'm considering suing you for sonic abuse.

they're a pretty consistent band stu, so if you didn't really like 'em before, this probably won't change your mind. but def. give it a shot....

Yeah, I just can't get into these guys.

I've decided that I like this as much as The Stage Names.

"Lost Coastlines" and "Singer Songwriter" are so good that I'd be willing to give the rest of the album a pass even if it sucked. Which it doesn't.

I just listened to this the other day: Okkervil River 9/30/07. Not a bad show.

Can't wait to see them next month...

I've been listening to a live track called "westfall" that may be off of an old EP? Wherever it came from, it's a shitkicker.

off of don't fall in love with everyone you see. if it's not the debut, then i think it must be their second album.

Oh man, that was AWESOME. They closed with Will's solo acoustic "Red" (swoon!) and the full foxy band for "Westfall".

Surprisingly, I didn't hear many songs from the newest album. Seemed like it was heavy on Stage Names material, but it all sounded incredible. Highly recommend seeing them on this tour.

Crooked Fingers was one of the openers and while they were a little hippie-ish at first, they kicked it into gear with a cover of "Web In Front" which made me lose my shit.

Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears opened the show. Felt like I was seeing Blueshammer, but with real live black guys in the band.

Will's trying out the low register. I like it.

Patrick (bass player) sings the low parts live. Not positive about the recorded material, but he might do it there, too.

I loved the show I saw a couple of weeks ago...but I don't get the Black Joe Lewis & Blueshammer comparison, I thought they were pretty good.

Worst crowd ever though...all the stupid frat kids talked through Sheff's solo number.

I think patrick was only singing the low part on Lost Coastlines for this tour...he was doing Meiburg's part

That particular mystery was answered a couple pages back. New mystery: why don't illegal downloads/leaks come with liner notes?

Oops, sorry. I was too excited last night to read the thread.

As for your mystery: I don't know, but it's a damn shame.

Sad I missed/forgot the show here, but happy I didn't have to run into my ex. Feelings are so complicated!

It was my first Okkervil show without the ex and once "Red" started, I did get emotional. The shared love of a band is really tough to get over.
