 Post subject: I accidently saw The National tonight

They were playing on Fountain Square opening up for The Breeders in a support Barack rally. Natalie Portman spoke and introduced them. (She was anything but inspirational. Very timid and sheepish.) The National were pretty friggin' good. I need to revisit the 2 albums I have that never really caught me.

I was crossing town tonight after touring a site and stopped to see what was going on. At first I was wondering why there was a beer truck on fountain square for a political rally. It made more sense when I found out a band was playing, then I saw it was The National and got a little excited.

All of that by accident.

David Suzuki spoke at our campus this week and that was the most exciting that happaned around here since the film festival.
