probably the usual places.. best buy.. probably NOT circuit city since they laid off 700 employees and aren't doing so great..

the malls.. you know.

i should invest in a new ipod. mine split in half, two pieces fell out of it, and it falls apart every day and i have to push it back together.. and it still works. it's amazing. so loyal.

i've had it for 3 years. it's awesome.

Sansa is drag and drop for music. No need for iTunes. You can also move files off of it with ease to another computer.
Getting video on is not as easy as you need to use their software to convert video files.
It does not come in all those fancy colors, but you can get the nice protective rubber skins in any color you want.

I also like the FM radio, and voice recorder. You can also record the FM.

I am not sure how battery life compares.

edit: I left out the best part. It has expandable memory by adding microSD cards.

Does it have to be a ipod? I just bought a Creative Zen 8gb (about $100). It has everything the ipod nano has and more. Pretty pleased with it so far but I've only had it a couple of weeks (still running off the first charge incidentally).

The only bad thing I have to say about it is it takes an age to convert video files through the Zen Media Explorer.

fyi, I've seen the 8gb Silver Sansa Fuze for $65 at ToysRUs and $69.99 at Radio Shack and Best Buy.
