oh man the racist one is classic, and definitely one of the best Charlie episodes.

Jesus I lost my shit when he said, "Niggers hanging from rafters..." in the racist one.

Also, Charlie eating the banana in the SS Uniform.

I need to rewatch some Season 3 episodes but I'd have to say two of my all time favs of this show are:

1. 100 Dollar Baby
2. Charlie Gets Molested

I was a little underwhelmed by last night's episode, but I was also a little preoccupied, so I'm going to have to watch it again.

this is the best single frame in the show's run.

also, "sweet dee's dating a retarded person" is the best episode. it's just too bad they had to spoil a little of the dayman/nightman legacy with last night's episode.

I'm gonna watch the finale tonight...

I did re-watch the one where Charlie & Dee became Cannibals last night. Love that one!

My favorite episode would be Dennis and Dee go on Welfare.

So many great scenes in that one

Dennis and Dee sitting on the front stoop repeating the one line to Just A Friend while drinking Malt Liquor

"Awww, did somebody get addicted to crack"

I avoided this show for a longtime because I figured all the funny parts were in the commercials, and it got a lot of praise from the Arrested Development corner of the Unfunny Universe.

It's got a good deal of really juvenile humor, without resorting to being dumb. Well, sometimes they go all-in on the gross-out or offensive humor, but for the most part they put a good twist on it to keep it from being a fucked up joke one trick pony.

Pretty much every episode has one particular spot where I honestly laugh out loud. More than half of those, I'll rewind and watch it two or three times.

They have full-on missed on a couple episodes, and those are painfully bad. Even the dumb ones tend to have one gag is good enough to not make you think you have completely wasted your time ("Check his pulse!" from "The Gang Cracks the Liberty Bell").

i tend to describe it as bizzaro seinfeld. nihilistic, black-as-pitch comedy about poor excuses for humans beings. . . which explains it's popularity here (of course, placing myself firmly in the "pro" camp).

Definitely would say it's sort of similar to Seinfeld in the "about nothing" aspect and has tinges of similarities to Curb and Arrested Development as it relates to how unbelievably self-absorbed and narcissistic every character is in the show. But, I would not say that Seinfeld, Curb, or AD are RIYLs for Sunny. There are similarities, sure, but I don't think they're comparable.

I'd say it's RIYL: poop jokes, double entendre (a lot of it), and have a morbid sense of humor.

Also, what Fu said.

which episode is this from?

i was watching the underage drinking one last night and i must've rewinded the last scene where that guy cuts in on charlie to dance with the girl like 5 times. the look he gets on his face when he's standing alone is great.

With this starting on 9/17 and Curb starting on 9/20, it's gonna be a funny Fall!

$40 seems awful high. I think I'll just see a bunch of people at Largo instead.

I'd probably go see it in Philly, though.

They would have to add a good deal to it, wouldn't they? I don't remember the episode astoundingly well, but I figure out of a 22 min. show, the actual musical parts MIGHT have taken up like ten minutes.

I like that Artemis is gonna be there. Ask her about her bleached asshole.

I read a snippet about one of the upcoming episodes..

Charlie (I think) joins a dating service, and puts down his profession as 'Philanthropist', but he can't pronounce it, so he has been telling his dates that he is a 'full on rapist'...

good stuff! can't wait!
