everyday (at least for the past month) i have been stuck in my little corner/hallway of an office and forced to listen to that one alicia keys hit over and over and over. for some reason my neighbor in the cube next to me doesnt realize that it's constantly planning every hour or less on her playlist. even worse, for some reason her volume must be all messed up because it's the only song that plays extremely loud. damn, work can be so full of little annoyances. at the moment i feel i can quit just because of that damn song. i have patience, but c'mon already...

I feel ya man.

The guy I work next to doesn't have bad taste in music he just has very little of it and the same albums come up every day in his office Itunes.

The rotation consists of this:

Flaming Lips: Yoshimi
The Beatles: hits
Radiohead: Amnesiac
Indigo Girls: Rites of Passage
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way
Counting Crows
Phish - the one with the black and white cover
REM - Document

That's it. Now, this doesn't look bad play them over and over on random every day for 3 months and............ :splode:

I have top volume talkers as well...

Music isn't as much as a problem - we're (mostly) bound to headphones...

there are dudes in my office who yell out random shit thinking they're funny when they painfully aren't. it wouldn't be that bad if they just said it once and moved on, but they have to repeat it every 10 minutes or so.

There is this old due that sits 7 feet away from me that doesn't know how to put his cell phone on mute, so when he is on a desk phone and his cell phone rings, he just lets it ring and ring and ring. Fucking old man.

I have headphones, the wraparound kind, like friggin huge. And that's no accident. I don't wanna hear Nothin from around here. But it's a problem now that I occasionally need to answer a phonecall, because I can't hear it when it rings. Still, it's worth it to avoid the gossip queens (male + female) on my row of cubicles, who gather religiously every morn around the desk next to me to discuss what's ruining the company today.

Haven't worked in a cube since '99, but the GM's office adjoins mine and he appears to be unaware I can hear all loud conversations that take place because there's a heating grate near the ceiling. I close it when I've got private stuff to say. Have learned some unusual things about him the past five years.
