Let's not beat around the bush: simply put, Jesu is to Godflesh what Jesus is to God. It's Godflesh minus Green, and Jesu makes it pretty obvious that Green wasn't such an important part of the pairing after all. Think Streetcleaner and you get an idea of the sound (Jesu is less mechanical sounding than, say, the Pure and later era.) If you liked old Godflesh but found, like me, that their style wore thin after Selfless , Jesu is for you.

Oh, and yeah, the drum machine's gone, but Ted Parsons fills in, and does a really good impersonation. Don't let the name or personnel details fool you - this is Godflesh under a different name.
