Sam Cooke: Greatest Hits

Decent collection of tunes from my favorite soul singer. Still, I miss my long lost copy of the out of print compilation The Man and His Music, which had almost everything here plus a couple early gospel tracks. I also really miss that this one doesn't have Another Saturday Night. If I were buying a new Sam Cooke compilation now, I'd probably grab Portrait of a Legend, although that one somehow leaves off Soothe Me but does contain his great version of Little Red Rooster, not found on most Cooke compilations. Seems Sam is one of those people who's compilations are always sure to miss something someone wants to hear. But, they're all loaded with plenty of great music.

Eno/Byrne 'Everything...'

Not really knocked out by this. Might scrap into the bottom area of my Top 20.

EDIT: This has started making more sense to me all of a sudden.

Yes, it is.

After one listen, it seems good...about on par with most of their albums except for Must've Been High, which is by far my favorite. The songs I had heard a few times before the album came out -- "She Is Leaving," "Come Along for the Ride" -- have really grown on me so I'm hoping that the rest of the album does the same.
