I know it's off the air until Summer '09, but there have to be some fellow fans of this show on the board.

I was hesitant after the pilot episode. I'm always turned off by bad Southern accents. I took off a month of watching it and caught back up with ON DEMAND in time to catch the season finale in realtime. I really drew me in, and the soundtrack isn't too shabby either.

I'm definitely on board. FemDerris and I love it. So many storylines and questions already in a short first season.

Is it bad that after watching it, I wish that "V" actually existed?

Ended with a bit of a whimper but overall, damn fine TV. Of course, I canceled HBO 1 minute after it was over.

The Mrs. and I are 9 episodes in and will finish it off by the end of the week...We are LOVING it! I actually downloaded the main theme and The Watson twins cover of 'just like heaven' yesterday....

i'm sure one of these true blood fanatic sites has someone who has put all the music together as a mix.....anyone come across anything like this?

I change my mind from show to show on her. Surprised we got some gratuitous nip from her. In fact, the gratuitous sex in this show feels like the HBO of old like back when the show "1st and Ten" would just have a naked chick standing in a scene for no damn reason at all.

We were completely addicted to the show from day one.

Absolutely love love loved it. It became the one show we looked foward to and loved all the mythology that rolled into it. There were so many different directions and questions it took and asked.

I don't think it ended with a whimper, instead there's so much out there involving half the characters I cannot wait til the next season. I know a lot of fans hate Anna Paquin but I find her ok. I love Sam, didn't at first, by the end I liked Sookie with either guy. Both of them were great. I found Tara tragic and this storyline with Marianne is interesting.

I'd say more but I don't want to spoil it for others.

Oh yeah and due to budget cuts we killed most of our cable channels this week. We refused to do it til the season ended. I'm sure we'll get it back by spring once I'm working.

Agree about the theme song by the way, I keep meaning to dl it.

She's also the goth/chubby chick in Mean Girls.

I was very hesitant because I'm generally turned off by La. set shows because of the numerous mischaracterizations. Stu has changed my mind on some of my initial misgivings and convinced me it's more accurate than I originally thought. But that cajun accent by the killer was ridiculously bad.

Good show though and much better than I thought it would be.

Thought it was cheesy early on..stopped watching then jumped back on for the last 4 or 5. I really enjoyed the end of the season.

Wasn't that the point? He learned his accent using a "Cajun for Actors" cassette tape.

Yeah, I guess it was. I formed these opinions before the last episode.

I thought I might get into it after the first episode, but ultimately it's just made me realize that I can't take a show about vampires seriously.
