I like this album.

I like every song on the debut. Its one of my favorite albums of the last ten years. The only song I've liked from them since is Louisiana. Meh. I join Shiv and Harry in giving up on this band.

A Hundred Miles Off was so bad that I couldn't bring myself to listen to this.

I haven't given up on them, but I'm close. A Republican, too, I might add. I loved Everyone Who Pretended..., loved Bows + Arrows even more. I was terribly repulsed by A Hundred Miles Off. It was purchased the day it came out, played twice that day, put aside for awhile, played again, then put in a pile somewhere where it's never been seen again.

With the new one I wanted to like it so much that I probably gave it more of a chance than it deserved. I played it over and over, just to be sure. And still, it clicks not.

I loved the debut, really liked Bow+Arrows, didn't like the last one, and couldn't fucking stand the Nilsson one.
For some reason, though, I really like this one. I think it's even tempered and a solid collection of songs.

Also, I like their xmas song. Someone should post that.

and Bloor, lemme know if you still need that debut.
