and is it as awesome as I want it to be? My faves depend on my moon, but of his proper albums, there's not one that I don't love. I know its dust Bros. produced, and somewhat of a return to his pastiche formula of yore.

And, more importantly, who wants to hit me off with this piece?

As awesome as you want to be? I have it (my friend made me a copy).
It's decent, but nothing great. The tracks could pass for b sides for Odelay.

Dont get me wrong, it's good, but nothing great.

Mutations is still my favorite record followed by Odelay,Sea Change, Mellow Gold,Gurero,Midnite Vultures , One Foot In The Grave

I'm really liking Chain Reaction off it. I haven't really listened to the whole thing yet though.

I like it as well.
One of the better songs on the record.

he could have done so much better than what Guero is...especially after 3 years of sitting on his ass

Agreed.

When I heard he was going to make the new record with the dust brothers, my inital reaction was being very excited.

Then after a while, I had a feeling it would turn out to be something like...well , Gurero.

NOT, by any means, is this a shit record.

I was just a tad disappointed.

Guero is the best thing Beck has done since Odelay and Mellow Gold.

I urge you to join the DC++ Obner network.

Not at the top of my priorities, but I'd like to hear the new one soon. So, I'll just bore the lot of us with my favs.

Anything by Gary Wilson > odelay> midnight vultures > stray blues > stereopathetic soul manure > mutations > one foot in the grave > sea change > mellow gold

It's very good. "Go It Alone" is hot. For me:

Mutations > Guero > Sea Change > Odelay

*spits Mountain Dew Code Red on his monitor in disbelief*

You're joking, right? "Mellow Gold" is your least-favorite Beck album? I just can't fathom how that could be possible. Granted it's a bunched up horse race when you're ranking his albums, but I'd never put MG lower than third.

Unbelievable.

Sorry, Charlie. That be the way it is. Mellow Gold does my head in. I think it's fucking garbage, to be sure.

Now clean up your mess.

Do you even need to ask?!?!?! Hell yes! :) Oh, I won't be @ the Futureheads tonite, I'm heading over to Boardner's after dinner (I think) so if you're in the mood to hear some drum n'bass and get down to some house, swing by.
