I am have been happy recently in a way that I haven't been for a long time. I feel lots of thankfulness tinged with a faint sense of doom. I think it's because my marriage, my academics, my music, my garden, my physical activity and my boozemaking are keeping me out of trouble.

They say you marry the woman, not her family. Don't believe it for a second.

I basically just have to hang on until tuesday. I get paid then. I figure with one month's check, I can hold out until I get something else. Got a call about CT-2 just a minute ago. I don't think I can work for my boss a minute longer than I have to. Basically, he is just an asshole. Gives zero advice, and then when things don't go exactly how he wanted, he bitches you out. :hellfire: :hellfire: :hellfire:

to continue dragging out the metaphor...

let's see:

Sumary of the past two weeks:
- 2 week long headache (had to miss work)
- crabby non-understanding boss, asking if "my skills and interests" match up with the job because I apprently looked "overwhelmed" last week.... um... that was because I thought I was going to die from a certain headache.

- computer infested with millions of viruses which took 4 days to get rid of ("CoolWebSearch", "About:blank", etc.).

- home phone line randomly went dead.

Yeah... nearing end of rope...

At least I get to sleep in tomorrow... mmmmm, sleep.
