As faras Stoner movies, or comedies go, ranking Half Baked above Friday would be like leaving Goodfellas completely off your list. Oh, wait...

can we sticky this thread or what? no offense to shmoo, but this is at least as poignant as a shmoolist, bump posts annoy me, and i actually spent about 30 minutes at work today writing down movies in anticipation of my list....

Goodfellas was on my extended list. Ended up about 109. How old was I when Friday came out? 13! Half Baked? 16! I wonder which had more stoner influence?

I could have done the hipster thing and put down the movies that would make me seem cool. I decided that I should throw some, monger on the couch smoking some schwag b/c you boy couldn't come through with the dank, movies. Also my viewing of older films ie pre-1985 is a work in progress. Being that I am not an elder of this board

Just pulling your leg, Pagoda. After all, you did say it was a list of your favorite films rather than the best. Still, as an elder advisor, I beg you to do whatever is necessary to get My Big Fat Greek Wedding off that list, even if it means getting baked and watching Lynch's Lost Highway on a 12 hour loop.

I put that movie on mostly due to the fact that it closely coincided with my own engagement and marriage and comare...................................more equivocation to follow.

Yeah, that's somewhere on my list too. Sometimes you realize a movie is just pushing your buttons but you go with it anyway.

This is sooo true. Sometimes a movie just comes out at just the right point in your life that it will always remain special.

I swear The Bad News Bears almost made my list because it came out just as I was starting Little League.

I thought about this one, too. "Chico's Bail Bonds" is all-time gold.

It would appear that the powers that be just don't want to. I don't know. This IS a music board.

Hey now! My list is full of old shit (pre-1985 is not old), and I'm still in my 20s.

I wanted to sticky it, but it appears as if that is not one of my moderator super powers. I can delete, move, and lock threads, but for some reason, I can't sticky them.
