I think talking about what you hope to do is a good step towards making it happen. I'm keeping a list here and editing as add to it.

1. record and release an album of me playing all the instruments and doing all the singing on a bunch of my original compositions. hopeful start date of recording

preproduction: Jan. at home
tracking: feb onwards
release: ? May, June?

I did not have sexual intercourse with anyone in 2008...so obviously, there's that.

I should probably say that I want to lose weight, because that would likely help the sex issue.

I think it's the music you listen to.

Also, that's kind of pathetic.

I hope to study in Africa before the year is over. Other than that, no resolutions or plans.

You should definitely make a resolution to never lick the green monkeys while you're there.

1. pay off the final remnants of my consumer debt

2. finish my five-phase house renovation

3. start a serious, reasonable nest egg savings/investment stratigery

4. like phil, write, record and release an album of me playing and singing everything on it, plus doing all the design and packaging layout by the end of 2009.

5. find some way to break my vicious at-work browsing cycle of yahoo -> cnn.com -> huffington post -> obner -> gmail -> facebook -> repeat ad infinitum

6. join a gym (yeah, sounds typical, but i'm a lifelong worker-outer who just happens to be between fitness centers right now)

7. record an alan lomax-style family folk history using my rig, as recited by my 92 yr old grandmother before she passes

8. finish the 500 Days blog

Finally launch www.fauxtunes.com

Find a new club/venue for U.B. The DJ

Get aggressive again about freelance writing; get something published in Rolling Stone or Esquire

Cut way back on work Interneting, like toots said, so I'm there less

Be better about recognizing and sending cards on birthdays

1. Less time spent on the internet and especially messageboards; though I post less then usual, reading them has taken up too much time.

2. Start writing again. Something that I keep meaning to do.
3. Stop dwelling on health issues and eat better and lose 15lbs.
4. Find a job(interviewing next week, so who knows, may come sooner then later).
5. Try to be a happier person.

I didn't get any either, but I also don't go after those Larper girls you hang out with.

I'm not making a list, since I rarely accomplish one item. I'd rather overachieve on nothing than underachieve on something I really want to happen.

Finish the second Hop On Pop album. (Hopefully by April, but that is looking less and less likely.)

Balance my family budget. (Probably harder than getting the HoP record done by the self-imposed deadline.)

Actually finish a few new songs -- one a month would be lovely!
