Lemme know what you think of this. I read it for an engineering class.

Zen & the Art...is quite possibly the worst book I've ever read. If you're into motorcycles it might have some redeeming values, but as a novel and look into insightful thinking, I hated it.

Yeah it's a lot to swallow, and the payoff isn't great. I dug the technical bits, and I stayed with him as long as I could during the mental navel-gazing, but boy did it get tiresome.

using a beer can sidewall section to shim a loose fit on a bmw handlebar, though, was genius.

Isabel Allende's book The House of Spirits... most excellent, recommend if you like Garcia Merquez and Laura Esquivel

Nice - great book and one of my favorites.

I just finished Klosterman's novel and am now reading The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, which I am really liking so far

Just finished Snow Falling On Cedars (which I liked, though it took forever to get going) and am now onto Water For Elephants.

Great book.

I gave up on 'Zen & The Art....' for a bit and picked back up Stephen King's 'Bachman Books' collection.

try as i might, i couldnt get passed the half way point of this book.... i understand the concept and its something that i really want to enjoy but since it is written in the vocab of a young girl it really bores me at times, the descriptions are so vague its hard to put myself there.... im going to give it one more shot!

also, thanks for the recommendations on all those Atheism books... i pretty much only know of Dawkins, havent really dont much research in others

The Be Prepared book is a great gift idea, FYI.

My brother got ot for me after the birth of my first son. Hilarious.
(I never was able to convince mommy to let me take him to the race track, though)
