Where are all the stories about bus-riding freaks so far this year or during the holidays?
Since I no longer regularly take public transportation, I just have to deal with walking past the crazies on my way out of the ghetto.

There has been a long craziness drought on my bus route. Hopefully things will get better (worse?) as '09 progresses.

I moved, and now I just take the subway. Not much good happens on the subway. It's too highbrow.

I did take a bus new years eve with the wife to a party, tho. We sat next to a completely obliterated-drunk guy who talked her ear off and tried 3 times to get her to smell his neck (unsuccessfully). I got a video of it - it was dark, the camera was handy - but it's not that funny. Just a drunk 26 yr old dude with a shitty job rambling in drunkspeak.

i encoundered two 30-somthing versions of that on the red line around kendall. one have a 1/2 full liter of vodka sticking out of his jacket pocket and announced to the car that he was looking for some tomato jiuce. he was kidding and the two were totally cracking each other up. incidentally, they got on at downtown crossing and when we got three stops down to kendall they got off asking if it was. . . downtown crossing. classic.

the preppy with the infant in the baby bjorn that he decided to start talking to along the way looked tolerant but clearly a little freaked out.

Subway, last night on the way home:

So looking at it, all I could figure was that a toddler projectile-vomited at an empty seat. What else could leave that spray pattern, from that height?

Watching people alllllmost sit down at every stop was fucking awesome.

I was not sure where to put this. I chose this thread because of the following:

I got cut off on the highway today on my lunch break. I was extremely pissed at first. After cooling off I noticed the car's license plate. It struck me as unbelievably hilarious. I debated what to do. I even tried to take a photo of it while driving at 65 miles per hour. That didn't work. I noticed the car and driver were taking the same exit as me. I decided to simply tail him until he parked. The creepy tailing was successful. The driver exited his car (I noticed as I parked from a distance). Once the driver was clear, I moved my car, parked right next to him, got out and snapped this photo with my cellphone and left.

Nothing like a twisted personalized plate that says, "Gaggin kids first".

He looked just like a normal, young, African American dude. He stopped at a community college.

Furthermore, I just noticed that the plate itself is also framed with barbed wire.

Let me get this straight:

You thought "Gaggin' Kids First" was so hilarious that you tailed this guy to his destination, waited for him to get out of his car, and then went and got a close-up photo?

And you guys really wonder why I'm so cynical sometimes? Really?

Yeah. You got it straight. You get a gold star for today. Most people I've shown this to have laughed, so you not finding it funny sounds more like a personal problem than a lack of inherent humor. Mind you, the "destination" that I "tailed" him to was not more than 1000 yards away from where I was going. It was a perfect storm of coincidence not a 30 mile trip to snap a mobile photo of a dude's plates.

Truly bizarre. Don't they have people employed at mva's to spot this stuff before you get the plate?
