Hey everyone, I thought I might start a post where people who use the DC++ hub network can update the new music they have added. Hopefully this will encourage new members to sign up as well as be informative to regular users who want to hear something new. I'll start.

Haven't added (but taken) much new of late, but am featuring this -ness:

Arthur Russell World of Echo and Calling Out of Context – completely captivating stuff, both very different releases, the former extra suggested

ASA-CHANG Jun Ray Song Chang - nearly too-proficient Japanese electronic compositions

Boris Amplifier Worship - eponymous (fuck yeah!); notably more dynamic than some of their other stuff

I'd like to point out that tentoze will single-handedly foster my growing appreciation (albeit slightly apprehensive, read: maternal factor - I can't like anything my moms does) for Van Morrison.

I'm like yr old friendly uncle, Bonor, always there to advise. But do NOT try to sit on my lap. Ever.

Go snag Wavelength and crank up the title track as loud as you can stand.................you will dance.

all my shit is 128kbs mp3. deal with it.

Edit: I'm ripping my entire collection. I'm adding about 20 crappy cd's a day. Come back when I am all done to see if there is anything you were looking for.

I second this idea. The Josh Rouse, Beck, and Judas Priest I have are all mp3's at 192 kbps.

Let's keep this thread going.

Post anything new that you've added with the above information included AND write your wishlists. Chances are one of the Obnish has it.

It's a good night album, although 'calm of the cast-light cloud' doesn't do much for me. I didn't think its as good as Lambent Material. Have you got Max Richter's The Blue Notebooks? If you don't then do so immediately, it's more classical then eluvium, and it's an amazing album.

No more than the soulseek threads, but it does seem slightly counteractive to the whole codename concept. Oh, well.

Check my NPs over the past weeks. I have that and more. Everything I share is in VBR mp3 at ~190 kbps (EAC/LAME).

Ditto. If anyone else does the same, I'd like to hear about it.

I am currently in the process of ripping a good chunk of my collection - an undertaking that will be done here and there over the next few months.

Just Added:
Sam Prekop - Who's Your New Professor
Archer Prewitt - Wilderness

I have yet to see Moby Grape in any of these lists as "newly added".

A whole bunch of older classic Breakdance/Electro and Industrial tunes. Some very hard to find now. All mp3's 128-320 kbps. All available at your fingertips.

Now ripping:
Magnolia Electric Co - What Comes After the Blues

This was purchased for $4.99 at a top secret record store I just discovered this afternoon. It's already my new favorite store.

I have just ripped discs by Sahara Hotnights, Armand Van Helden, Van Morrison, Stereolab and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Everything I rip is LAME VBR mp3, but everything else I share is a mixed bag.
