Has Pixar made anything else where the main characters were humans?

Does The Incredibles count?

Yeah, and the humans played a pretty big role in the latter portion of Wall-E.

So they've been featuring human characters prominently for a while now.

And yeah, of course I'm looking forward to this.

I wasn't really impressed with the trailer, but I'll go anyway because its Pixar.

G.I. Joe looks way more awesome, but Up looks cute.

Saw the trailer during the Super Bowl last night. This scares the shit out of me. Reminded me of my "I terrified of heights" nightmares as a child.

I don't know. It sort of looks like Transformers where I want to be excited but know the story is going to suck so bad I'll just end up disappointed. Still, I'll likely be there opening weekend.

That G.I.Joe movie will have to be even sillier than Transformers, and will likely get horrible reviews, but it could still be pretty fun.

I don't understand why it was even mentioned in this thread, though.

I guess because it's a movie that's also coming out in 2009? That's all I got.

Let's just use this thread to talk about the new Star Trek movie.

i'm picking this thread because it's better-titled than the other one.

this movie is great. it used to be that pixar made movies for kids that their parents could enjoy. up is more like a movie for adults that their kids (even grandkids) will like, or at least tolerate. it looks incredible. the colors are simply amazing.

A+, highly recommended.

I'll definitely see this, though I heard the 3-D is annoying and to just go see the 2-D version instead.

Dammit, I was really hoping to see this this weekend, but I'm hopelessly busy. Sucks.

I've seen no ads for it yet, which tells me it won't release for a while. IMDB says October 16... GAHH!!!!!!!

This seems like the question Lrr asked in the Star Trek thread. (Intentional?)

i'd be really curious to know if this is being marketed toward an older audience, as well as the typical pixar base. the pessimist in me thinks that old people would cast it off as a cartoon and decide they have no interest in it. but they're who'd probably get the most out of it.

i didn't really get a good look at the audience when i saw it. but that was also an advance screening, so it's not very representative of who'll actually go see it. there were a few kids around us. there were a few old people. but it was mostly gen-x/y.
