I just sent off an email to one of my best college friends telling him that I wasn't going to be able to make it to his wedding.

I held off as long as I could, but finally came to the undeniable conclusion that, with my doctors' bill and my need to recuperate more, I would not be able to make the trip to Hugo, OK.

He's a great guy and I don't get so see him much (once in the last 10 years). But we keep in touch and I was going to stand up. It's just a helpless feeling and I am incredibly sad today.

I just hope that he understands. I'm sure he will.

Sorry for the post, but I had to let it out.

I got hitched in June, and had a few no-shows that really counted. The ones who told me before-hand, however, were not a big deal... things come up. The no-call, no-shows, those were just bad. You shouldn't feel too bad about this, as it sounds like you're pretty well laid-up, and you at least wrote him about it.

Dude, they just cut open your head! If he's any friend at all, he'll understand.

Plus, Hugo, OK cannot be good for anything ... except Sonic burgers or the Brazier.

There's a TV Personalities record out there with your name on it. Hope things pick up for you.

They know where Syd Barrett lives.
Maybe if they gave me his address, we could become pen pals.

Thanks for your responses, everyone. I appreciate them. Wasn't looking for them -- just wanted to purge. But I do appreciate the sympathy.

Poor poor Toddie.
:(

Yea, wtf is up with people rsvp'ing a yes, and then not showing?
We even had some people come to the wedding and skip the reception.. I mean who in the hell skips out on steak and an open bar with top notch liquor? I'm still paying off the reception, and they didn't even come to eat the food that I paid a lot of money for! Fuckers!

Todd you are in the clear since you rsvp'd and have an above average reason.
