pass

While the whole playoff strategy of dropping and adding pitchers to get stats made it pretty exciting, it took the realism away. If there was a way to implement a real waiver wire I'd be interested. Same goes with the NFL league.

Plus I never received 2 discs.

C'mon timmy, don't try and pretend you're too cool for fantasy baseball. It's way too late for that.

Yea, when we both had half of the same pitching staff, what's the point?

Vanlandingham and Patrick.

In Patrick's defense, he ordered it from half.com, but then again he never informed me it was on the way or followed thru on making sure it was sent. So I never got it. :(

Yeah, that's a little strange. Ideally, the categories should be balanced so that this hurts you as much as it helps. Can't remember what exactly we had last year.

I've been in a couple of finals and have won without this. Or at least I didn't use it to the same extent you did.

Vanlandingham is a repeat non-payer. I know he still owes me, and I think he owes Marco, too.

I think Patrick has always payed up when I've won.

It helped because we were picking up anyone with a scheduled start to get stats for innings, wins, complete games, strikeouts, and quality starts. I was even doing it at the end to get saves and holds. It had the potential to hurt us in era and hbip or whatever the averages are called. It became pretty ridiculous.

i kind of lost interest once the free tracker disappeared.

Each participant.

I'd rather do a more realistic leauge where we have salaries and transaction fees. Does anyone know of and have any experience with good alternatives to the Yahoo league?

try fanball. i've never used them for baseball, but their fantasy football is pretty top-notch.

I'm in, as long as there aren't eleventy billion positions like there have been the last 2 years...

What's wrong with 7 active pitchers, 8 position players, and 2 utility guys?

I'm fine with that if there are 16 teams, but in a 10 or 12 team league this means you have to chose which all-star to start and which one to sit. Then the guy you sat hits 3 home runs.
