League is full. Draft is 19th March at 7.00 pm EST. I hope all 16 will be there... Though if not, I heartily enjoin you to set your rankings. (& hey, it worked for Timmy last year.)

Also: if anyone not currently involved would be interested in a second (non-Plus) league, I would be willing to start one. Let's say minimum eight teams, more likely ten, & I'll pull the gun on another league.

I'm only counting 14 that have joined on yahoo. The two of you who signed up here (jewels and someone else) should join on yahoo.

Ah, yes. Sorry 'bout that. Just checking this morning, I saw we were no longer at an uneven number of teams -- as we were last nite, when Mendoza was listed with a bye -- & my mind immediately jumped from 13 to 16 for some reason.

So, as of now, jewlz, ducky -- send your emails to me on PM, here.

Vanlandingham paid up. Thanks for the Nada Surf. I almost bought this at Circuit City the other day. I'm glad I showed some restraint. :)

Invited thisotherkingdom to join the league. He has yet to accept. If he doesn't within the next 48 hours, is there anyone else who wants to?

Who wants to be in the Ting-Ting La-La division? (O3CR division is full.)

Monty, how about changing the pitching slots to all Ps? That gives people more flexibility in how to structure their pitching staffs, in terms of number of RPs vs. SPs. Since the scoring categories are balanced, there's no advantage one way or the other.

Sorry, never got the invite. My yahoo mail was deleted due to inactivity, I reactivated it just now. Feel free to give the slot to someone else, though.

I'll mull that over. I'm leaning toward changing stolen-base % to straight steals, though, so I don't know if I am going to want to make any other changes.

I guess everyone will be loading up on relievers in the draft because 6 of the 8 pitching categories favor using them instead of SP.

There are 4 SP spots and 4 RP spots - no loading up on one or the other...

Why would you start any SP's? Under the old categories it would be better just to use your 4 RP's and keep SP's on the bench...other than to reach the minimum 15 innings. I think adding IRA should be a help, not sure if there's an advantage either way with K/BB but i guess with IBB late in games it may favor SP's.

I didn't see it until you brought it up, but I think you're right about the old categories. But I like the changes Monty made. I don't think there's an advantage either way now.

It's definitely a lot closer and that's all you can really ask for.

Man, i know it's late in the game but having the draft start on the first night of the NCAA Tournament is not good.

How many people in our league have conflicts with the date and time? How many will have yahoo draft for them?

Is it even possible to change the date at this point?

Isn't the issue that dhr_j is going to Boise for the Friday session? Might be en route...

I already put in for a half day on Thurs. so that I could get home in time for the draft...

Therefore, I'd vote against changing the time at this point.
