Opinions thus far? I think this has some serious comedic potential. I can't wait until the "Coach" explodes into full douchebaggery.

Big mistake voting Candace off. She was their strongest female player while Coach and the chubby black dude are dead weight. They could've even voted off the blond older chick before Candace.

The other tribe has 4 strong men and by voting off Coach and the black dude you pretty much force the other tribe to sit two of their men during challenges. Bad mistake.

I'm pissed, but only because they were the two hottest chicks with the biggest jugs.

Coach is the biggest douche they've had on Survivor in a long time, perhaps ever.

Oh man, he's such a fucking idiot. I literally can't wait for him to show up on-screen to see what he's gonna say next. He needs to stay on for awhile and then get blindsided or, possibly raped.

Candace is a former Miss USA who's also been topless in some movie. Google images represent.

And the Taj girl is married to a famous football player and a Grammy-nominated singer herself. I only remember the name Sisters With Voices but apparently her TLC-esque trio was somewhat popular during the '90s.

From Probst's blog:

Quote:
"Iron sharpens iron." Now that is a great line. Tell me...tell me! Where else on television can you find that kind of writing? Nowhere, I say. Nowhere. Only on Survivor: Tocantins...starring Coach!

Coach is not gold. Coach is platinum. Remember when you were a kid and you'd wake up irritated that you had to go to school, and then you realized...wait a minute, it's Saturday, I don't have to go anywhere. It was such a satisfying feeling. Well, that's the feeling I get every time I see or hear Coach on our show.

On any other season Tyson would be the guy I was raving about, but I just can't say enough about Coach. It's like being any other great golfer when Tiger Woods is playing.

I loved how in the space on a single sentence, Coach manages to say "I'm okay that Erinn thinks than Brendan is a better leader than me...but she's a CANCER and needs to be voted out"

Yeah, he's played the cancer card twice already.

My line while watching last night: "I hope the next time he goes to kick a soccer ball at practice, the ball is actually a bomb and blows his leg off."

That was beautiful.

Is there a bigger tool than Coach though? In the previews he comes to Sierra saying "where's your loyalty?" and she just goes "you wrote down my name last night!"

Coach is easily one of the best characters ever to play 'Survivor'. As much as I'd like to say I think he's playing it up, I don't believe he is. I had a 'Coach' in my life, a consummate bullshit artist who claimed alternatively to have had ninja training in southeast Asia, fought a grizzly bear to a draw, to have invented 911, hungout with John and Yoko in Toronto, was a psychic and healer who could levitate objects, to have concrete evidence that The Philadelphia Experiment was real etc, etc.

I relish every second Coach is in this game because I can't wait to hear what he'll say next.

Me too.

My wife saw on a Survivor board a post by some chick who was on one of his teams--she said he's not like this at all in real life which to me makes him 10,000x more awesome.

Also, that was a GREAT blindside. I'm surprised Tyson wasn't swinging on folks. Also, a 100% guarantee that he makes an ass of himself during the jury questioning.

He is without a doubt the creepiest Survivor ever, for his v-neck t-shirt and this comment:

“Brendan is the sneakiest bastard I have to worry about. We smile at each other. We hug. I’ve kissed him on the neck, softly. He’s felt my warm steamy breath on the nape of his neck, even on the small of his back. But … keep your friends close and your enemies closer.â€

Our feed cut off right after the preview for next week.

Why did Erinn vote for Stephen? She wrote something under his name but I couldn't read what when Jeff revealed it.

This thread died.

Can't believe you people like Coach. That guy is a giant blowhard. Just useless.

All in all though, this was a good season. And I'm happy with the winner. And that doesn't happen often enough.

Its TV, dude and the guy was running a work. Don't take it so personally.

Yeah the final was pretty anticlimactic; I wonder if Stephen would have even won if it were him and Erinn in the final two. He really seemed to crumble in front of the jury (which has happened a lot in recent seasons)

Totally. The only surprising point was how badly Stephen fucked up by admitting in one breath how 'hurt' he would have been if JT hadn't taken him to the finals and then admitting in the next that he "probably" would have taken Erinn. Yikes, dude.
