If I could, I'd buy many tickets to the Nokia stop in Los Angeles...

As it is, I don't know anyone who would go/put out with/to me, so I might miss Leonard Cohen altogether. One 125+ticket beside me and wasted is semi-acceptable but, if I have to drive myself home as well, bets are definitely off...

Look.... I'll make you a deal....

Presale for Nokia (Los Angeles) begins 3/7 at 10a... Show is 4/10...

If you're up for driving, it's a given...

If I get better seats, you "owe me"... If you get better seats, "I owe you"...

Though, to be honest, if were to you take me to a Leonard Cohen concert, the latter is pretty much assumed anyway.;..

Damn, is he really still popular enough to play venues that size?

I'm definitely going to shell out for this. Errin's been working on the 'Book of Longing' show that Philip Glass is doing tonight at the PAC, so when I told her that The Man himself would be here in April it was kind of a no-brainer...

Dude, I'm so up for driving! 'Sides, you don't live far from my office (I'm in WeHo) and I could totally swing by and pick your ass up.

It's on then. Leonard, here we come!!

I can't think of anyone off hand that i've never seen that I want to see more. I'd been checking his website for weeks daily waiting for the tour announcement. That said, I'm not sure I'm going. I kind of want to get out of town that weekend and I'm less inclined to let these shows dictate my social calendar than I was a few years ago. I guess I have a couple of weeks to decide before tix go on sale.

I saw him in a small auditorium in Thunder Bay. Still the best show I've ever seen and probably will ever see.

I'm really pissed off that I didn't go when he was here a couple of weeks ago, but it was at the biggest, shittiest, most impersonal venue I've ever been to and tickets started at 160.

For me, there's few above Leonard Cohen.

What do you mean "still popular enough"? Has he ever played shows this big?

He played a 14000 seater in Brisbane. It's just fucking stupid.

yeah, that's the range most everywhere. in chicago it's $55.50 to $253 or something absurd.

isn't the guy essentially broke because of his manager? this tour should just be labeled "getting out of bankruptcy."

I could buy a Coachella ticket for Friday instead at $99. Hopefully, he'll be on at the same time as McCartney. Everyone will be seeing the Beatle while I see the man!

I had sort of a premonition that he would snub the South before I opened this thread, and whaddaya know?

You might count Austin, but I don't. Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland doesn't count either.

NPR's got his show from the Beacon up streaming. At least 75 minutes of it.

Tix for Austin range from $88-$550. I have no idea what the $550 ticket includes

Yeah... There's no way I can afford that with the general financial malaise circulating throughout the country...

$250 can buy me an extra two months of Ramen or Cable/Innernet, should some kind of layoff happen. I mean, if I somehow end up unemployed, I'll really need that HBO subscription.

Tried for both the original and the added shows in Oakland. Not successful even with "early purchase" with the fan club passwords. I am surprised, given the high prices, that there was so much demand. I am deciding if I really want to pay $1,000 on Craigslist for tickets. So those of you who got tickets, be grateful.
