I was going to say I'll definitely be picking this up, but after looking at some of the pre-sale prices, I don't know for sure. Pretty pricey for four discs...still, I'm thrilled they didn't include any post-1990 material. The packaging looks insane.

Old Jane's Addiction was an excellent fusion of psych, punk, and art-rock. I'm sure there's plenty of people on here who either strongly love or hate them, but...whatever.

Man, there was a time in my life when I thought "Three Days" was the culmination of centuries of music............but it was probably just the Golden Key blotter.

Still love that song though.

Because I'm too lazy to look it up, what do you mean by pricey?

I'd love to have it.

Can't find a presale price, but I dunno if I'd pay too much for 3 discs + a dvd. Interesting, though.

Amazon's got it for $75 right now. It doesn't look like it's on sale yet, so it might be $10-15 lower than that, but still kind of pricey.

YES. I can honestly say that from the time that a dude on my bus let me hear Nothings Shocking in '88 right up to the end of the first Lollapalooza in Atlanta in '91 there was no better band working for me.

Yeah, I agree. I also pretend the band ended in early '92 with Perry Ferrell's untimely overdose. A real shame, right after his 4th SPIN cover too.

Nothing's Shocking was a great album. I remember working in a record store when it came out and knowing nothing about the band when that album came in. Had just smoked a joint carrying in stock and dropped the needle on that thing and was blown away. I was less thrilled about the follow-up and they were done after that, seemed pretty quick. But that was a great moment when I first heard 'em.

Anyone else see The Gift? I love the opening scenes in that where Perry's trying to score in a dress.

I love everything they did up to '91 ('palooza was my second concert ever), but I'm not sure if/when I would get this.

You're not clamoring for three discs of Jane's Addiction demos, alternate versions, remixes and live tracks of the same handful of songs plus some covers?

saw them on a club tour in 90 or 91 at the ritz in nyc, they were the best live band i had seen at that point, bar none.

Circus of Power blew them away in '88.
