Here's a quick one you can download:

Mombojo "Nadadenovo"

Click on the mombojo in the middle of the screen, then click on the little pink box in the center of the screen and then on mp3 under the yellow bar and dl away.

It was in my top 10 from last year.

If you're looking for more of an alltime classic, I'd recommend something from either Doris Monteiro or Banda Black Rio. Did you download either of the Brazilian tracks I uploaded to Chase's weekend mix thing a couple of weekends ago? One was from Doris' self-titled 1971 album, the other was from Banda Black Rio's "Maria Fumaca"

Both are great. In fact, everything I've heard from Doris's early to mid 70's period is pretty great.


FT, If you're scanning the page, I just read that Michael Penn's new album is scheduled for release on June 28th.
