When you pm FT with the link, remind him we're all still waiting for the new Oranges Band.

I will do that. This upload is insanely fast right now. Should be finished in about a minute.

I think this is REALLY GOOD. Her most seamlessly produced and instrumented. Her voice isn't as focal as it's always been, which actually isn't to its detriment. Song-writing is strong and more mature. Fox Confessor seemed like it was trying to do what this record is. Neither holds a candle to Blacklisted.

I like the record so much. I've listened to it a lot, and kind of love that I still can't get grasp it that well, except that every song pays off. It's quirky like The Virginian and Furnace Room, darker than Fox Confessor, but not as dark as Blacklisted. Her voice sounds great.

This is right behind M. Ward for my favorite album of 2009 so far.

Predictably, I really like it. I don't think it tops Fox Confessor, but it's cut from the same cloth by and large. And now that I know she's got a farm in VT, all I can picture listening to it is the view of Rt. 100 going by over the windshield.

As I've said, I'm not much of a fan of solo Neko but this album is doing it for me. I may pick up an actual copy.

Also, I officially don't get the M. Ward love. I tried the new one and the one from '06 and he's like James Taylor without the heroin.

I walked over in (perfect) Seattle weather to Easy Street records, bought this and brought it home, listened while sitting on the porch watching the boats cruise Puget sound, and loved it. To be fair, there's a lot of frogs in there with the crickets.

Neko has never disappointed me in the past, and this new one is no exception. I just love her voice.

She recently did a session for CBC Radio3, that you can listen to here:

Here's a solid watch re the making of Cyclone. Picked it up at Best Buy for 8 bucks - mighty fine ROI in my book.

Nice. Thanks for the heads up mang.

I got a Best Buy right around the corner from my office. May head over at lunch. That's an unbeatable deal sadly.

Yeah I agree with it too. But a few are beginning to take root.
