Just ask them about stuff and see what happens.

They're Devo, its bound to be interesting as long as you don't throw a cliche at them.

Then you can ask them about the hats.

Casale is a HUGE wine connoisseur and collector. You could talk to him about that.

For me, Devo was definitely a band that influenced me to listen to other types of music back in the 70's. They were fun and energetic. I truly thought they may have lost that flavour when I saw them a couple of years ago...nope, the guys still had it. Watching people of all ages dance around made my heart warm.

Ask Mark about the Rugrats and his soundtrack work.

Ask about where they see their influence in the modern music landscape.

Where are they going to take their own music next? Will it be a response to that influence that they see on the modern music scene, or will they try to distance themselves from that?

Ask about DOVE (espec. Booji Boy)... Mark Mothersbaugh is legally blind without glasses, yet composed the theme for the "MAC" commercials... The DEVO 2.0 Album where they had kids sing DEVO songs (and any relation/difference in intent, if there is any, with the E-Z Listening Disc of their songs in Muzak style they released in the 80's) ... Why "Freedom of Choice" is one of the best albums ever...

Possibilities are endless.

Ask if their De-Evolutionary philosophy still has relevance, or if it was more of a lark that got away from them. Ask about their stances on Modern Art - all of it - is it relevant or at a dead end. Ask about their surf rock side band.

Ask them about Murray the K on nitrous and whatever else introducing them on halloween night 1975 when they opened for Sun-Ra and cleared the place out except for like 4 people (as documented in Live: The Mongoloid Years).
