So this in in regards to that song that the girl I sing with is using for this competition. Since she is now in the top five, she will be interviewed in the radio next week. And I thought that she should take advantage of that by getting the song on iTunes, or some kind of service where she could pimp it to get some $$$.

But, she hasn't registered the song with the U.S. Copywrite Office because it literally just got recorded.

I know that the song is technically copy written when it's completed and put on a disc, and I'm not sure if it's a legitimate concern or not, but I don't want to see her get burned.

Haq, anyone else want to help me out with a way that she can be sort of protected in the short term so she can take advantage of this publicity?

bypass the ship time and upload the song at copyright.gov

they'll discount the fee for doing it online
