I've been in a crappy mood all day...this morning's 3rd round interview won't result in a fourth. But there IS something to be said for starting the weekend with drinks at 3pm.

Just got the rejection letter in the mail today from a job I really wanted. Though I figured a few days later the hours and stress level of the job would probably put me under ground, therefore making the job one I probably couldn't take.

It still sucks to get one of those fuckers anyways.

I filed for unemployment last week. And until my sick children recover fully I'm taking a break from even looking for a damn job.

I was going to work Part Time for the Braves, they said it was a lock after my 2nd interview...they called me today to tell me they filled all the positions.

I just got an e-mail for an interview...at least I'm getting calls back now as opposed to my first six weeks of unemployment where I'd be lucky to get someone to tell me to apply online.

I was unemployed for all of 2008. I'm working now but it's a temp job that may or may not turn permanent. I'm feeling fairly secure right now but if this job dries up I'll start to get worried pretty quickly.

I've been out of work since last April.

I'm a full-time student so at least I'm doing something but I've been looking for jobs and finding nothing while things like public transit expenses, food, and books just keep piling up on the credit card.

I am awaiting word on a final interview for another magazine job....
If it comes through, it'll be the third magazine that I grew up reading that I may be working for...

if that doesnt pan out, i have no clue what I am gonna be doing.

I was told yesterday that I have a 4 hr+ mandatory seminar/workshop on "the future of my department" to attend on Monday which, strangely enough, is being "keynoted" by a man many entertainment-related blogs are deeming as a person who just "bit off more than they can chew"... Also, I have to go on a few unexpected "New Technology" Business trips to sites around the country, always flying in/out within 24 hours in length (which, I guess, is partially due to my "hourly pay status")...
