New, self-titled album by these guys. I've listened twice and really like it. Their record label says this:

[quote]Being released in North America by Profound Lore (Code666 in Europe), following the band’s highly praised and acclaimed 2007 “Ruines Humainesâ€

i'd be interested in a link to a full album

i heard a track from a long time ago and wasn't sold, but maybe it was the album's lone stinker

thanks

Another band on Profound Lore is being pimped like crazy on another board I visit. Band is Cobalt, album "Gin". You guys heard this or have recommendations on it? Apparently dude in the band is active armed forces guy in Iraq now or recently.

how is this being discussed in the same circles as black metal? this is post-rock with a male singer who likes to scream.

i really like this record a lot.

I thought the same thing. Maybe it's the label they're on.

yes, i am familiar with alcest.

but why should their past have anything to do with how they are categorized now? just because someone was in a band that sounded one way doesn't mean for all-time each of their band's should still be associated with that sound. there are elements of black metal in this music, but it isn't terribly overpowering.

i keep wanting to pronounce this band's name as 'awesomers'.

this would've made a great 6-7 song ep but the kinda mellower tracks are really boring.
