I have the feeling that in 10 to 15 years, everyone will be talking about how the 2nd and 3rd Strokes album were underappreciated by critics and fans alike in the 00's. I think these albums are on the Exile plan.

What?!?!?! Quite the bold statement.

My god, the Strokes love is strong on this board. At first I thought it was a joke, then not, then again a joke, then not, and now I am beginning to just hope its a joke. Seriously, if you like them, then whatever but the statements coming from people on the grandiose nature of this and all the rest of their albums. Maybe I'm missing out which could very well be the answer, but I just don't get why people are so head over heals with them. To me, none of their material evoked any type of response as to that they were bound for greatness.

I think rock is stuck in it's own limitations. I think most people have grown sick of bands with no ambitions other than holding on to their own small safe indie audience. But as soon as a band has ambition and states it, they're punished for it. Given time I think these records will reveal themselves away from the hoopla, and I think they'll prove themselves very influential. That's not to say one can not honestly dislike the Strokes right now.

I still agree with everything I said here. Big up myself.

So do I, big ups to me.
