PM sent. I'd be interested in hearing the Basement Tapes to see what the new quality sounds like.

This is coming off a usenet server and I'm not getting optimal download speed but should be done by noon MST. Check your pm's in a couple of hours.

Pretty sure I'll be buying those first two.

Is After the Flood worth purchasing?

Dear God, yes.

The best part about this whole experiment is that they rehearsed tons of songs, and then the first night, Dylan came out and did songs that they didn't go over AT ALL, and the ones they had rehearsed, he was playing in different keys, at different tempos, etc.

Dumpjack - send em all my way, pls.

One of the only redeeming parts of No Direction Home was (other than her Dylan impression) Joan Baez's account of him fucking songs up live just to entertain himself.

Yeah, Dylan is a classic prankster/dude who does shit just to amuse himself. See, most of Don't Look Back.

seconded. I just have a ratty vinyl copy that has sufficed thus far. I'll be picking that, and New Morning.

Out of curiosity, was Self-Portrait left out of this round of remasters?

Seems like it's just the above four in this group.

It's Before the Flood and its fucking GREAT.

When is someone going to do this for all the Virgin Atlantic Stones albs? (Cos you know ABKCO ain't doing it, ever.)

Or did the dude from It Ain't Gonna Suck Itself really steal the Sticky Fingers Masters?

So how's the sound on these? Also, does anyone know if they're digipack (like the SACD remasters) or jewel case?

From what I can tell online, they seem to be digipack. Haven't play it yet, so don't know about sound (four songs left on the download), but they have to be an improvement on those late 80s compact discs.

Neither have I, didn't make it past the whimpering about the harsh and unforgiving environment of northern Minnesota.

For anyone who wants these fast, they're all over Blogsearch (or at least the first two are). I got the Basement Tapes in about 10 minutes.

Why'd you ask about the sound then?
