i was going to play an april fool's joke on my boss today. but i may actually have to do something very similar to the joke in the near future. so i'm holding off because i don't want to be the boy who cried wolf around here.

but i do think i am being set up with an april fool's meeting this afternoon. the online sales manager has invited me to a meeting to discuss warehouse inventory management. that doesn't make any sense to me.

really.

Because the following observation does not deserve its own thread and if I can't talk about meaningless shit on Obner where can I?

. . .

I have this Facebook "friend" who keeps talking about her "anniversary" with her boyfriend. Apparently, June 1st is their 10 month. What? People really mark this stuff?

seems like a real no-win situation

people get pissed about too many threads being started on miscellaneous topics, but when those all get consolidated into a single monthly "random" thread, that also gets shouted down

c'mon, d00dz

I think we should change the name of the random thread to Dalen is a cumdumpster (April)

What, you didn't receive your Obner handbook Z? It's in there on page 5, paragraph 3.

Not reading every thread will get you ousted.

Or post in every thread.

Edit: but I am surprised it took until 10:05 am to start this one.

it's all a question of politics.

Do you intervene and kill the random thread?

Or let it die of its own impetus?

So... an 8-month "anniversary" isn't even worth noting, yet a 10-month "anniversary" is worth getting excited for over 2 months in advance?

Exactly one of the reasons I'm so befuddled.

I want to start dating a guy and immediately start talking about our 2 month anniversary. See how well it goes over.

I'm going to open a gym where if the equipment isn't being used, and you're sitting on it, it shocks you in your asshole.
