The show was incredible. It was in a bar in Norfolk, VA. They claimed during, and after when I spoke to them, that this little bar is one of their favorite places to play and they play there 3 times a year (news to me).

I have become such a bigger fan of their stuff after hearing it live. They're one of the few bands that I would rather hear live than on recording.

Add all this to the fact that they were the most appreciative, friendly group of guys I have ever interacted with post-show, I couldn't have asked for a better time. The bass player in particular was pretty much trying to out-appreciate my compliments to their music, etc. He was like patting me on the back telling me how much he really appreciated me coming and and I thought he was getting ready to propose. haha

The opening bands, two local groups, were horrendous but worth sitting through. One of the coolest things about the show was that i was 1 of about 35 people in attendance. I couldn't believe so few people came.

Anyone else seen them live? Similar experiences?

I have one Roadside album. I love it. I would have liked to see them perform live also.

Johnathon, the bass player is originally from here,so they usually play here every 3-4 months. Always solid.
And yeah,he's always been really nice the few times I've talked to him.
