Dan Auerbach - Keep It Hid
Black Lips - 200 Million Thousand

I'm hoping to get through a lot of the recent releases I've not had time to give multiple listens.

X: Under The Big Black Sun & More Fun In The New World

Two albums by one of my favorite bands. This is the point where they cleaned up a bit from their earlier more ragged punk days but before they started getting too glossy and with Billy Zoom still on board. For me, these records, while I still like the first two a ton as well, are the sweet spot in their catalog. If you like old LA punk, you've already heard most all the X stuff, I'd assume. But, if you don't generally listen to this stuff, these two records are a great way to get a taste in a more accessible version that still has that edge, mixed with a real rootsy rock 'n' roll vibe and great songs.
