This trip is still happening -- this serves as your reminder to make plans to come out and play.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations of where to meet? Keep in mind that I will have no car and will need to rely on the kindness of someone picking me up or using public transportation.

Also keep in mind that I HATE driving in Boston and would like to do as little of it as possible.

Oh shit, I missed this.

Yeah as long as I can go home by some decent hour (11) I'm game. So Thursday the 30th?

I live real damn close to Route 2 now in Cambridge, so you could park here, then we all take the bus / subway to wherever we're going.

Let Squirrgle worry about the navigatin'.

Well it's in my calendar. Someone whip up some details.

She's gonna be down on that side of the river, I guess, so perhaps something in Back Bay would be best? We should probably let Neuro toss out ideas, factoring in peoples' commuting needs (Aural via green line, us via red). He's good with shit like that.

I'm staying at the Hilton Boston Back Bay, if it makes any difference.

I looked them up on Yelp. It said that it wasn't good for groups of people and they only accept cash (??). Though, super close to the hotel.

Ya know, Jon, that last one sounded like a strip joint...lo' and behold, it's exactly what I thought it was!

No on Hooters...blech!

Would Silvertone be easy to get to from where I'm at?

Yelp recommended The Pour House (?).

in the back bay i'd maybe go with the other side cafe or maybe deville's (which is next door to your hotel). getting there at a decent hour means we can find tables and sample some grub, too--other side has a good beer selection, too. silvertone is cool too--it's over in downtown crossing. . . 15-ish minute walk.

most back bay spots are either douchy or more upscale/swanky (unless you want swanky which is cool with me, it just can be pricey). if got a great dive in mind, too, if that's what you have in mind. there's also a moderately nondescript mexican-feeling bar nearby.

also, you're within walking distance of a hell of a lot in the back bay. . . i could also throw out a few places in beacon hill, the sounth end, etc if you want to venture out. nothing's gonna be more than a 15-or-so minute walk.

. . . i'm clearly overhthinking this

ooooo. . . the format (or, rather, the signers solo gig) is playing the middle east that night, too!

I can't stay out too late cuz I have an early morning class. So, am gonna pass on going to a gig that night. But, since going to a class with a hangover looking like death warmed over is perfectly acceptable, I vote for drinking!

While swanky is nice, I think we need just a casual establishment with a good selection of booze and food.

Btw, if I walk back to my hotel late at night -- will it be safe? I don't want a Cap'n style mugging to happen to me.

Probably gonna be fine walking back, T - we're not going drinking in Southie.

First Mate's stoked. You all get to see the burgeoning little preggo-belly.

Yeah, it's right off the green line. I'd just take them via red line-green, probably, rather than try and catch the 1 bus.

And ya, there are no issues with walking home to the hotel around there
