Sorry to hear it brother. Really.

Derris had nothing but wide-eyed compliments of the right sort after your meetup, when I saw him and Bloor in ATL a few weeks back, btw. Confirmed all my fears.

Well, in lighter news, we have the new place pretty much set-up. Just got that bike hung on the wall, and the new rug down.

Where are the framed pictures of Obama and Gore Vidal?

My wife would never let me get away with that much rock decoration.

Mine insisted, strangely. I had enough sense to only ask if she was sure once, then quickly bust out the tools. Got 9 on the wall, leaving only one in a closet, plus the pedal steel.

You also need an atleast 3 x 5 FOOT pic of this:

Just read this, and as the others have said, definitely prayers and thoughts are with you.

I don't know how I feel about a third-wave ska band dissing a one-hit-wonder, but it's good to hear this. Makes me feel young, again. Reminds me of Denver, too. (The last time I saw this band, live.)

They STILL play ska in Montreal?

The last time I was in Minneapolis, I went along for the ride with a group of friends of friends. We ended up at a Reel Big Fish show. I was assuming it was going to be a sad showing of late 20 / early 30-year olds. To my surprise there were about 300 kids packing the house. I guess the kids still love ska. Somewhere.

Man, I booked those guys for a show in late '96 and they were playing that way back then. I think at the time it was a kidding thing since both bands were from Michigan and stomped a lot of the same grounds in East Lansing and the west side of the state. Jokes need to be retired, though, and that one had an expiration date of early '98.

I honestly can't believe Mustard Plug is still together. I think the singer and guitar player are the only original members left.
