George Hurley and Mike Watt combined to be the greatest rhythm section punk rock has ever known.

D. Boon was a genius.

They Jam Econo.

I'm gonna go keep sipping on these beers and check out a bar-b-q.

One of my favorite bands. Mike Watt is the man as far as I'm concerned. I'm really excited to see him and Dino Jr. coming up.

I'll even go so far as to say fIREHOSE was a great band as well. Flyin' The Flannel is a great record.

You've seen the doc, right? Also, do you have the Minutemen book that was half French/half English? That's great as well.

YES!

I was at the Montreal launch for that about 5 years ago. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Mike Watt fronting two alternating local bands playing Minutemen songs and Stooges covers exclusively. They hadn't rehearsed other than earlier that day and it was raw as shit, loud as hell.

I've learned how to speak of politics in French from reading that book on the shitter. Mike Watt wrote his name on it, but I still read it on the shitter.

I like Mike Watt's solo records as much as any Minutemen record.

Yeah, I recently ranked Contemplating the Engine Room as one of my top 5 college records. It'd be in my top 10 of all-time for sure as well.

I love Minutemen and really, really like fIREHOSE. Ed's voice isn't as interesting as Boon's and sometimes is very bad, actually. But the poor singing comes with some major tunes. I think I love 9 out of every 10 Minutmen songs and probably 70% of fIREHOSE.

Been listening to Double Nickles a lot lately. History Lesson remains one of my favorite 2 or 3 songs of all time.

Well Firehouse suck but fIREHOSE don't. I saw a link to their discography a little while back. I'll find it in a bit.
