A friend e-mailed me about this guy over the weekend and I'm glad he did.

It's sparse, moody, reverb-on-the-vocals modern singer-songwriter/folk.

After seeing him perform in LA, the producers of the small film Lovers in a Dangerous Time asked him to score the entire movie.

RIYL - Jim James solo, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, Elliot Smith, Joseph Arthur (I haven't always been a listener of "folky" music, so my comparisons may generalized and are mostly of the Gen X and Y era).

WEB (here you can stream his debut Not Even in July).
MYSPACE
NPR (where you can read about him and listen to "Cleo's Song" from his debut.)
