Shit was terrible. How do you people like this?

I've never written a song before, but I can't imagine I could do much worse than that atrocity.

he's not as bad as the new pornographers as a whole. But it's pretty bad.

And he really can't sing.

Can't stand that guy solo. I don't mind him at all in the New Pornographers, although Neko is the one that really makes that band.

I don't like Newman's solo stuff as much as the Pornographers but still a bit more than Zumpano.

He gets sorta whiney and long-winded on his own, from what I've listened to, but I don't mind him as part of the band. That other singer in the band though, with the "theatrical" voice (the one from Destroyer)... that guy is intolerable no matter how much good music you bury him in. Fly/ointment.

His latest solo album is pretty weak, only listened to it twice but it's done nothing for me. I loved his last one, though.

Didn't see the performance. Was it really that bad?

I thought it was brutal. I've never really paid attention to him before so I have no idea what his albums sound like.
