honestly i don't think that there's any advice to give you, and that you wouldn't listen even if there was something we could tell you. as far as I can tell, every time someone's given you advice, you've said "yeah, I don't think that will be a problem", which is fantastic, but shit, I wouldn't give you advice because it made ME feel better. I thought that I had all the possible stuff in the world, and now i have a walker that she'll use for maybe another 2 months and a deathtrap jumper hanging in the door of my bedroom. of course, you're a better planner than i am.

This is a very good point. Despite what may look like me shrugging off other peoples' concerns, I am most certainly paying attention. I'm just as nervous as the next guy in this situation, but I've been wanting to do this for a few years, so I'm not scared of it in the traditional sense.

I'm also not having triplets.

And did I just read that Monty visited the booger mart? Man I really do need to type up that nightmare I had.

why just the grandparents? why not the parents themselves? this is our motto for sure.

every time Ang and I see these expensive toys that children will play with literally once or twice, we laugh at those that buy them. fuck them, put that cash away and into something that your child will surely benefit from.

kids (especially small) don't need all that shit. over-stimulation aside, it's pointless giving a child hundreds of options to play.

I think he meant "went there" as in "oh, no he di'int" - not that he was ever physically on the premises

does that make sense?

I typed grandparents, but i meant aunts, uncles and friends, too. (but leave me as the signator so I can steal the money!)

on the other hand, if the situation is unavoidable due to overgenerous relatives, a rummage sale a year down the road is a great way to recoup part of that money

Just take it off as "Dodgers Home Opener" - 11-1 score plus the ODog hitting for the cycle (first time ever in Dodger Stadium's history)...

So, between a move (which meant paying almost 3x my current rent within a week), some bills that have begun to stack up, and the virtual elimination of the OT at my job (which, btw, is sorely needed to do my job well)...

I really can't wait for my tax refund. As a fairly-responsible adult prone to impulsive shopping expenditures, I can't believe I just said that. Plus, this virtually eliminates/delays my car purchase by a few months...

I just shared the elevator with this guy:

[img][333:500]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d7/CUN2008_Oscar_party_MosDef.jpg/399px-CUN2008_Oscar_party_MosDef.jpg[/img]

Didn't pay attention to which floor he was going and ended taking a ride with me...then, he asked for the restroom. 'Dude, don't you remember me? We partied together with John Stamos back in '93? Yeah, I didn't think so -- you got pretty trashed that night and we ended leaving your ass at the restaurant.'

That sounds like the perfect setup for a joke:

John Stamos, Tommy Davidson, and Aural walk into a bar...
