been spinning this a lot the past few weeks. 3 times today. definitely my favorite album right now. working out in the yard with this playing is turning out to be my favorite way to pass these sunny spring weekends.

anyone else digging this gem?

Some tremendous songs. Has grown on me a lot in the past week, though I think the first two post-Smog albums are stronger overall. But he's such a good songwriter, that's not a big criticism.

As I said in another thread, I think "Eid Ma Clack Shaw" and "Faith/Void" don't go down the Lambchop road quite so far as some of the other tracks and stand out more.

Oh, "The Wind And The Dove" deserves actual radio airplay, too, but probably won't get much of it.

I have Dongs of Sevotion and this new one and I love them both, but other than these 2, i'm fairly new to this dude, but I love his lyrics and the way he sings.

Any recs for another album I should get?

A River Ain't Too Much To Love is more consistent start to finish than Woke Up On A Whaleheart, but Whaleheart has "Day" and "A Man Needs A Woman Or A Man To Be A Man." Two of his best songs.

Got this on order.

Seems to be getting a good word of mouth and I've liked Smog in the past.

Yeah this is on my quickly growing list of records to pick up.

Not really familiar with his work with Smog but I've been reading some pretty good praise for this record.

Yeah, I'm a pretty big Smog fan, and I'll definitely pick this up.

3 Smog albums I'd recommend:

1. Red Apple Falls
2. A River Ain't Too Much to Love
3. Knock Knock

I really like most of his stuff. Really happy to hear that a lot of people are liking this more than Woke on a Whaleheart, which was good but not a favorite.

Great Record.

Knock Knock (Teenage Spaceship is one of the greatest songs ever)
Red Apple Falls
Dongs Of Sevotion

3--5 star albums there.

Doctor Came at Dawn is a great one too !

out of all these albums that have been recommended in this thread, the only one I could track down is woke on a whaleheart.

anyone got some time to kill and wanna up Knock Knock, A River ain't too much Love, or Red Apple Falls for me. I already have dongs of sevotion.

I am skeptical.

PM me the new one if possible.

I'm going to the record store tomorrow.

Is this even out yet?
