Certainly not as many, but I don't think it's fair to necessarily to reduce it to that as the "essence" of why people decide to follow a certain belief system.

Yeah I guess there are sadder things but I still find needing relegion sad. Sorry. The amount of wasted time, guilt and dictation of beliefs and "morality" is mind boggling.
